校内各有关单位:
美国哈佛燕京学社每年资助我国人文和社会科学领域的学者赴美深造。根据相关通知精神,现将公司遴选2009-2010学年度该项目候选人的相关事宜通知如下。
一、资助研究领域
1.人类学(Anthropology)
2.考古学(Archaeology)
3.历史(History)
4.语言学(Linguistics)
5.文学(Literature)
6.哲学(Philosophy)
7.政治学(Political Science)
8.宗教(Religion)
9.社会学(Sociology)
二、身份类别及资助期限
1.访问学者:资助期限为11个月,受资助人员将赴哈佛大学进行研究和学习。
2.访问人员:资助期限为3个学期,受资助人员将赴哈佛大学进行博士论文研究。
三、申报条件
1.具有良好的思想和业务素质,并在工作、学习中表现突出,具有学成回国为祖国建设服务的事业心和责任感。
2.品德优良、身心健康。
3.曾获得国家留学基金资助出国留学的人员以及单位公派留学人员,回国后工作一般须满2年方可申请。
4.至少已在公司工作2年的在职教师。
5.申报访问学者的申请人,年龄不得超过45(含)周岁。
6.申报访问人员的申请人,应是在职攻读博士学位。正在进行东亚研究的人员在遴选时将予以优先考虑。
7.申报访问人员的申请人,必须在2008年9月1日前提供有效TOEFL考试。
8.已录取及以前录取尚未派出的国家留学基金项目、校际交流项目和经学校选拔的单位公派项目的人员,以及已申请其他国家或单位公派留学项目尚无审批结果的人员不得再次申请。
四、有关经费
哈佛燕京学院对每个申请人提供往返路费和在美国参加一次学术会议的资助。对于访问学者项目录取人员,提供的资助标准为每月2940美元,以及健康保险费和在哈佛门诊的得看病费用;对于访问人员项目录取人员,提供作博士论文相关费用以及足够一个人使用的生活费(2006-2007学年为每月2000美元)。
五、派出及管理
1.被录取的人员均以单位公派身份派出,派出前签订《bet356体育在线官网公派出国协议书》,办理公证、交存保证金等派出手续。
2.原则上被录取人员不能延长派出期限。
3.入选者若调离学校或未经批准出国未归将自动退出本项目,违约赔偿金(不含违约金)退还学校。
4.在材料上报之后、正式结果公布之前不可以申报其它公派项目;录取之后也不可以放弃、改派或兼报其它项目。
5.回国15日内办理报到手续,同时提交在国外的工作情况、工作成果以及对本学科、对学校发展的意见和建议等方面的书面材料,并在本单位举办一次学术研讨或报告会,由单位负责人签署意见、加盖公章。
6.教师有责任回国并履行学校规定的义务。
五、申请事宜
由于刚刚获得外方通知,时间非常紧,请各单位于2008年6月23日(周一)前务必将申报教师填写的《bet356体育在线官网公派出国留学人员申请表》和《公派出国留学项目预备人选一览表》(以上表格均可在人事处主页下载)及外语考试成绩证明报到人事处团队培养科(行政楼820室)。学校将对所有人选进行综合评审,最后确定的人选填写正式申请材料。申报教师请提前拟填写向外方提交的相关材料。

APPENDIX
- Eligibility:
Visiting Scholars Program candidates should have been serving at their home university for at least two years as a full time faculty. Scholars who gained their Ph.D. in an English speaking institution in the past five years are not eligible for applying for this program.
- Coverage of the scholarships:
The following is the detailed information on the fellowship coverage:
Visiting Scholars Program: Round trip airfare for a selected scholar; A stipend of US $3,100 per month for the period of residence in Cambridge, Massachusetts (for 11 months); Fees for health insurance and the use of the Harvard Health Service;
Funding (up to $500.00) for one-time participation in an academic conference within the USA.
Visiting Fellows Program: Round trip airfare from a selected fellow’s home institution to Boston; Payment of the Harvard University Visiting Fellows fee; A stipend adequate for a single scholar (for 2008-09, the monthly stipend is $2,100) for three semesters,
Funding for one time participation in an academic conference within the USA.
